Fake weapons used during shoots are obviously not intended to cause harm on actors. Unfortunately, veteran actor Christopher de Leon got himself injured recently from a blank bullet used during the taping of GMA series, “Kambal Karibal.”
As per Philippine Entertainment Portal’s (PEP) Noel Ferrer, there were a lot of people who noticed that the actor could not walk properly during an outreach in Marawi City.
It was then found out that the actor became a victim of an accident that transpired during the taping of “Kambal Karibal.” The scene, in which he played alongside Marvin Agustin, was supposedly his character’s death scene. However, the veteran actor ended horribly shot by a part of a blank bullet.
After the accident, the actor sought medical help in the emergency room of Asian Hospital, where it was declared that he needed to undergo operation to remove the bullet. It was likewise reported that the wound could have been fatal if he was shot near the groin.
According to succeeding reports, Christopher’s operation was a success and he is now recovering in the aforementioned hospital. Needless to say, the production team of the series did not fall short on supporting the actor’s medical fees.
