Woman accidentally finds love letters inside her restaurant’s table drawers

Four years ago, a female entrepreneur named Amy Morton established a restaurant called “Found Kitchen” in Chicago, Illinois. Flocked by numerous recurring customers and with more than a thousand followers on Instagram, Amy knows that she has a thriving business in her hands. However, she was unaware that there has been a secret romantic tradition that has been going on right under her nose.

Knowledge of the tradition came to light when she and Stefen Bosworth, her business partner, decided to rearrange the restaurant’s tables and one of the drawers accidentally opened. What they found inside caught them off guard.

Amy narrated:

“One day we were moving our great little tables, and a drawer opened up … and in it were some amazing letters.”

It just so happens that the tables functioned more than mere furniture, as they were also keepers of numerous romantic confessions.

The clueless Stefen confessed,

“It really happened organically, people just started doing it. We didn’t even know at first. The servers knew long before us and we actually have two different tables that have these secret drawers. It’s really magical.”

One of the the drawers was filled with numerous love letters, ranging from well-meaning quotes to professions of love. Check out what was written on some of the sweet love letters below!

The letter reads:

“The moment I kissed you for the first time I knew that you were it for me. I loved you then in ’08 and I love you now in 2014. I’ll never love another, you’re the one for me always and forever, even now when you’re gone.”

Aside from these heartwarming letters, the owners also found a motivational quote that was written on the ceiling of their restaurant.

From by none other than Amy’s father, the quote reads:

“If we’re together and healthy, nothing else really matters.”
