Motorcyclist hit by UV Express van door by unmindful passenger

In an unexpected moment on the road, a motorcyclist named Ross Nebre claims he was hit by a UV Express van’s door by an unmindful lady passenger who allegedly opened her door while Nebre and the UV Express van started moving at a green light. The incident happened at an intersection along QC avenue hours ago. He uploaded videos and photos of the commotion and shared his side of the story on social media. His post went viral shortly after.

Nebre stressed his disappointment online saying that when they got close to the hospital the woman was on a call with someone then offered Nebre PHP 1,000 in lieu of covering any medical expenses. Nebre declined, seeking just compensation, shortly after, members of what Nebre calls the ‘ Quezon City Aerox Group” (presumably a group of people riding Yamaha Mio Aerox’s) arrived. A man claiming to be the woman’s cousin started complaining and said Nebre was,”mukhang pera,” or taking advantage of her at the time.

This is Nebre’s Mio Yamaha motorcycle that he owned. During a heated discussion with the woman, he mentioned to her that he just had received his salary and by the looks of his motorcycle the woman had no place to call him, “mukhang pera.”

Nebre said that the woman in yellow/orange, after seeing him crash to the ground, did not immediately exit the vehicle as the driver did. The driver explained that the passenger was unmindful of his motorcycle in the right side of the vehicle. She just hurriedly unloaded the vehicle at its stop.

The arguments were becoming so intense that the woman’s cousin was threatening to sue and suggested to take the matter up at the precinct. He asked Nebre to surrender his motorcycle’s certificate of registration. The woman’s cousin turned the blame on the motorist because he wasn’t wearing proper shoes and explained he took a drastic turn at an unloading stop.

We can’t going around being impulsive with all of our actions. What seems to be good doesn’t always seem to be right. We should hear both sides of the truth and discern wisely.
