Netizen asks for breast milk donations for baby whose mother died after giving birth

Breast milk is considered the most essential source of nutrients for a newborn baby. Breast milk contains natural antibodies that fight off diseases that could threaten a newborn baby’s development. These antibodies can’t be reproduced artificially.

Mother’s milk is absolutely necessary for an infant especially during the first six months after their birth. Breastfeeding is recommended by doctors in order for a baby to fully develop.

Obviously, it is of the utmost importance for a baby to be fed breast milk.

Make sure that your breast milk donation is placed in glass containers, polypropylene plastics,  or disposable milk bags that are leak-proof. Don’t forget to put a label on it declaring the date and time that you stored it. Also, make sure to keep it chilled or frozen until you finally deposit it at the milk bank.
