With how close ‘It’s Showtime‘ co-hosts Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda have gotten, they were able to forge a relationship that’s deeper than colleagues, and even deeper than friends. As a matter of fact, they treat each other as sisters.
They would always exchange banter and be playful with each other, proof of how comfortable they are with each other. Of course, it really shows that Anne Curtis and Vice are supportive of each other, of each other’s careers, and of each other’s love lives. This is why it comes as sort of a surprise that the two ended up being business rivals!
Yes, the two esteemed celebrities have cosmetic lines of their own. Vice has Vice Cosmetics, while Anne has blk Cosmetics. These two brands have gained phenomenal reviews from those who have tried them, but netizens can’y help but wonder how this friendly competition’s affecting their personal relationship.
See, it really can’t be denied that Anne Curtis and Vice are competitors now — they both launched lipsticks as their first product out in the market, both around September 2017.
“Actually nagkagulatan na lang kami na parang, ‘Meron ka ding cosmetic line? Oo. Kailan ka magla-launch? Ako itong ano na. Ako din!’” Anne Curtis told reporters at the launch of her beauty empire.
Still, she clarifies, it hasn’t and will not affect their friendship:
“Sabi ko okay lang ‘yan. The local industry is actually booming,
“If you look into the make-up kit of one girl, it doesn’t have only one brand. It has all different brands. It goes to show that there is room for everyone.”
Anne also relates how Vice is supportive of her brand, despite being his direct competition:
“Minsan bawal kami mag-promote sa Showtime pero ang galing ni Vice. Madalas nase-segue niya so sinasabi niya [bumili] pati blk [Cosmetics],” she told ABS-CBN.
