Many first time mothers are by nature very sentimental people, especially Filipina moms. In the olden times, moms would traditionally keep a strip of hair from their babies and tape it to a photo album or keep worn-out baby bottles just for the memories they represent. This is true for first time celebrity mom Kylie Padilla who has a special way of remembering her precious bond with her son Joaquin Alas. Kylie recently shared a photo on Instagram which is trending all over social media. Her picture features this unique keepsake ring fashioned to store a tiny mementos of her son.
But what mementos of her son could she possibly insert in this tiny ring?
According to a report by PEP, the actress had deposited in the ring strands of Baby Alas’ hair, a drop of her breast milk and even a tiny piece of the baby’s umbilical cord. Kylie had this ring made so she could keep a piece of her son wherever she goes.
She captioned the photo:
“In beloved memory of my first pregnancy, I had this ring made that contains breastmilk, Alas’s cord and hair and a bit of green sparkle to represent peridot – August, Alas’s birth month. It’s just so sentimental to have my becoming a mother turned into jewellery. Every time I look at it now I remember Alas and I have a part of him with me everywhere I go. According to the source, Kylie’s step-mom Mariel Padilla was curious about this unique show of affection. She liked it and wished she had a ring made for her daughter Isabella.
