Filmmaker Jun Lana’s ‘The Nurse’ won’t materialize, blames “scheduling conflict” with Nadine Lustre

It was in 2017 when Nadine Lustre was announced to star in the horror flick, “The Nurse,” supposedly to be produced by IdeaFirst Company and helmed by filmmaker Jun Lana. A report from Inquirer also stated that the movie’s scenes would be shot in Japan. However, several months passed and there weren’t any updates regarding the upcoming project—until just recently when the movie director finally opened up about this on his Twitter page.

Lana, apparently, responded to a “JaDine” fan account’s tweet expressing their anticipation of the reel-to-real couple’s latest romance movie “Never Not Love You.” The director wrote the hashtags “sorry not happening” and “moving on.”

Another tweep then asked Lana why “The Nurse” won’t materialize, noting that Lustre was allegedly excited about it last week. Lana then responded straightforwardly:

“Scheduling conflict. Been waiting too long and it’s taken too much of my time. Going to Japan 2x to prep is no joke. Time to move [on] and let go and recast. Thanks for the interest, guys.”

Minutes later, Lana posted another tweet saying: “My film. My rules.”
