We share heartbreak and sympahties on social media for Cheats vocalist Saab Magalona – as she goes through a difficult time of her life. Amid the tragic loss of her twin baby girl, Saab still remains hopeful. In a recent photo posted on Instagram, the resilient mom showed her daughter’s tombstone engraved a short yet sweet quote that reads, “I know we’ll see the sun rise.” Her daughter was named Luna Isabel Magalona-Bacarro.
Recently, the other half of the twins named Pancho Gerardo was announced to be coming home soon. The baby was in a critical condition after Saab gave birth on February 8. The baby boy was confined at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for recovery from surgery.
After the passing of Baby Luna, Saab had donated 100 bags of her breast milk to Human milk bank since she had excess milk for her twins. The singer said that “it would make her happy thinking that babies will get stronger because of her “liquid gold.'”
The singer captioned her photo, “Oh, my love, we’ll keep on dreaming.”
Baby Luna’s grave was buried next to her father, renowned Filipino artist Francis M. It was also her father’s 9th death anniversary that time. She had said, “he will be looking after his apo.”
Saab was also saddened when she missed her sister Maxene’s wedding due to her pregnancy last January 11.
According to Saab’s blog, Saab wrote that she is relieved and thankful for the fast recovery of their son instead of being remorseful and distressed for the passing of her daughter.
“So many things happened in the last month. There are so many people we could blame and be angry with, but each time we hold our boy, we think otherwise. He’s been fighting to be part of this world and it’s our responsibility to make it one that is forgiving — one that tries to see the best in other people…. We can only thank God for helping us get through the pain and lifting the anger from our hearts.”
