Police officers see crazy and disturbing things every day. After all, this is all in a day’s work of these dedicated crime fighters. So aside from committing a crime, how can someone get their attention?
For the 5-year-old kid named Jayden Hooker from Charlotte in North Carolina, the answer is simple ―give them free hugs and doughnuts.
In case you’re not aware, this little boy asked his mother to take him to the nearest police station to make a powerful statement. Realizing the great effort these policemen give to keep his community peaceful, he decided to give these officers some free hugs.
As result of this, some of the policemen who were on duty that time were moved to tears. In his own words, he described them, saying “they’re not so scared.”
In an interview with ABC News, he further explained his reason. Here’s what he said:
“I’m happy the police officers didn’t get really hurt. I want you to stay safe and I don’t want anybody to hurt you.”
