Have you ever been aboard a flight as passengers complained about a lot of seemingly inconsequential things? How did the cabin crew members attend to their complaints? Not everyone can handle the pressures of dealing with needy passengers. Luckily, Jeffrey Jones, a cabin crew member of Delta Air Lines, is a cut above the rest. This flight attendant was able to provide world class service for an elderly passenger who showed signs of Parkinson’s Disease.
Sharon Radcliffe posted the story of Jeffrey Jones. From her seat, she saw the elderly woman suffering from the shakes – a sign of Parkinson’s. As soon as the elderly woman started involuntarily shaking, Jones went over and asked her to move from her seat. At first, Radcliffe thought that Jones was going to ask the old lady to get off the plane.
Radcliffe then decided to confront Delta Air crew member to ask him what he was going to do with the old lady. Jones’ reply?
“She’s flying in first class”
As a nurse by profession, Radcliffe even asked the Delta Air crew member if he needed assistance to bring the old lady to the toilet. His reply?
“I got this”
According to Newsner, Jones told Radcliffe that his grandmother had Parkinson’s and that he knew how to deal with it. He clarified that he very much appreciated her offer of help.
Radcliffe also stressed how Jones checked up on the elderly woman from time to time, describing it as if he was “mother hen-ing” her.
