It’s always a difficult decision for couples to choose where to settle down once they start building a family with kids. Life in the city is vibrant and exciting, but it can also be too chaotic. Meanwhile, the provincial life is simple, laid back, and fun, but others may find it too boring. Celebrity couple Alwyn Uytingco and Jennica Garcia are not experiencing this exact dilemma right now.
For his part, Alwyn Uytingco was born and raised as a city boy. He was born in Quezon City and spent almost all his life in the city. The same can be said for Jennica Garcia.
See, Jennica was kinda born into the show business life, her mother Jean Garcia being a seasoned actress. For many of us, it would seem like the choice is very easy for the two, right?
However, the young couple is not yet decided on where they really want to raise Mori Uytingco, their adorable daughter, and her future sibling, who Jennica is still carrying in her womb.
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the couple admitted that the kind of life they want to teach their kids constitutes a simple, quiet lifestyle.
As a matter of fact, Jean Garcia already let slip that her daughter Jennica and Alwyn Uytingco have already purchased beachfront property in Siquijor. Could this be the place where the Uytingcos settle in with the peace and quiet?
Still, the couple maintains they have not reached a decision yet. Alwyn said:
“Ang bawat isa sa atin, aminin man natin o hindi, ay nangangarap na mamuhay sa isang tahimik at mapayapang lugar.
“Ngunit hindi ito madaling makamit.
“Kailangan buo ang puso at damdamin at may malawak na paiisip para mapaghandaan ang kinabukasan.”
They are having such a difficult time deciding where, or if, to move. Alwyn jokes, he sometimes wonders if he could just ask his toddler, Mori, where she wants to move. Fortunately, his sensible side takes over and thinks:
“Pero hindi ganun kadali ‘yon. At masyadong random mag-isip ang anak namin!
“Baka mapadpad kami sa Wakanda nang di oras,” he said, laughing.
What do you think? If given free choice, would you rather raise kids in the country or in the city? Why so? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
