Popular singer KZ Tandingan is currently a contestant in the singing competition “Singer 2018.” She raised the banner for Filipinos everywhere by showing off that amazing homegrown Pinoy talent on the international stage. The beloved Filipina singer’s unique renditions of popular songs like “Royals” and “Rolling in the Deep” have enchanted viewers from all over the world.
Recently, the singer was eliminated from the international competition weeks ago much to the dismay of her international and local fans. KZ voiced her gratitude for this opportunity through the song “See You Again” which was translated to Mandarin. Her emotional performance brought tears in the eyes of everyone who witnessed it.
But as we have mentioned before, a special “breakout” episode was a part of this show – wherein eliminated contestants would invited back to perform one song. A winner would then be chosen to advance to the finals in April 13 to go against the remaining contestants of the show.
KZ Tandingan vied for that coveted spot and unleashed her secret weapon. For this important episode, the singer chose to sing the iconic Freddie Aguilar‘s “Anak.” But what surprised us the most for her performance was when she began to sing the famous Tagalog song in Mandarin!
Sadly, this wasn’t enough to claim the last spot in the finals. KZ gracefully bowed out from the competition. The singer wasn’t sad about leaving. In fact, KZ was truly grateful for the opportunity that “Singer 2018” offered her.
