Young girl takes note to school, teacher reads it and calls the police

We’re sure that most people would agree that no child should ever fear for their life. The wide-eyed look and quivering lips brought upon by true terror don’t belong on the innocent face of a child. Children have so many things and experiences to enjoy. Sadly, there are people like this young girl from Louisiana, U.S.A that had to go through a lot because of an abusive person.

This young girl and her mother were victims of the latter’s abusive boyfriend. The fear they felt was so great that the woman couldn’t go to the police to report about the situation. They were even held captive inside their own caravan.

Despite the harrowing situation they were forced into, there was a silver lining. The young, 11-year-old girl was still allowed to go to school where people could help them. Her mother realized this and used it to their advantage.

She wrote a letter explaining their situation, instructed her daughter to take the note with her to school and show it to a teacher. The little girl did as she was told and as soon as the teacher read what was inside the letter, they proceeded to call the police to rescue the family.

During the first attempt, nobody answered the door to the caravan where they were held captive. According to the 2016 report by CNN, the police was forced to continue the search and rescue some other day. The court then granted a warrant to the authorities – allowing the officers to storm the place and arrest the abusive man.

Luckily, the mother and her daughter were not injured when the police arrived – aside from the mental scars of this terrifying experience.
