Ryza Cenon explains why she decided to switch networks

Kapuso no more — Ryza Cenon is now an official Kapamilya star when she inked her contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday, April 12. Aside from feeling surprised, her fans are more than excited to see her acting in the upcoming Kapamilya series.

In a previous interview with PEP, the “Starstruck” alumna detailed why she decided to switch networks.

“Actually, pinaka nag-decide nito, yung Viva.”

The 30-year-old actress said that she respects her manager’s decision for her career.

“For me kasi, sila yung manager ko, so kailangan nilang protektahan din ako. Saka may plano sila for me and nirerespeto ko yung desisyon nila for me.

The former Kapuso star also shared that she bid her proper farewells to her bosses in the GMA Network.

“Before naman ako pumirma and all, nagpaalam muna ako nang maayos sa mga boss [ng GMA-7], kay Miss Lilybeth.”

Now that she’s officially part of the ABS-CBN network, she can’t wait to work with the most notable stars in her new home.

“Lahat naman yun, in-expect ko naman. Yung time na nag-decide kami, in-expect ko naman na lahat makakatrabaho ko. Dun ako nae-excite, kasi syempre marami rin akong matututunan sa kanila.”

Asked who are the actors she mostly prefer to work with, Ryza enumerated:

“Madami… like Piolo Pascual, Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo.”

Consequently, the Kapamilya newbie is set to appear in the upcoming primetime series titled “The General’s Daughter.” She will be acting alongside Janice de Belen, Eula Valdes, Maricel Soriano, and Angel Locsin, who also transferred from GMA to ABS-CBN.
