Poverty can be a complete hindrance to the most impoverished Filipinos who want to pursue their studies. This is why the government has offered the Expanded Student’s Grant-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGP-PA) that caters to thousands of Filipino students who are currently in dire need of financial support for their studies. Among its beneficiaries is Raymark Khalid Cabading, the son of a street cleaner in Sultan Kudarat who just graduated cum laude from Sultan Kudarat State University on March 29.
In his graduation speech, the 21-year-old graduate narrated that he used to help his motheras a street cleaner for two months because he thought that his parents wouldn’tl not be able to send him to college. Not until he availed the scholarship program from the government which then paved the way for him to finish his Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Technology.
Cabading’s inspiring story of determination to finish his studies has touched the hearts of many netizens. Many are saying that indeed there is nothing impossible for a person who works hard to achieving his dreams. Moreover, they hope that the young man will have a bright future ahead of him.
